After receiving his law degree from Rutgers University Law School in 1994, Shalom Rubanowitz completed an internship with a United States Bankruptcy Judge, and began his career in the real estate and mortgage banking field.  Over the years, he has been admitted to the bars of California, Arizona, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, Utah, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Idaho, District of Columbia and Hawaii. He served for six years as Chief Counsel of a national foreclosure services and default management firm before establishing himself in private practice in 2001. As Chief Counsel, Mr. Rubanowitz handled all aspects of foreclosures, pre- and post-foreclosure litigation, and lender representation. He was responsible for the firm’s growth from a regional into a national entity.

Ordained as Rabbi in 1991, Mr. Rubanowitz served as a Jewish Community leader and Spiritual Mentor alongside his ongoing Civil law practice, bringing an ethical foundation, a respect for the legal framework and a depth of understanding to his practice of the law and to the zealous dedication of his clients. Rabbi Emeritus of the Young Israel of Los Angeles, Mr. Rubanowitz now serves as Spiritual Leader at the “Shul on the Beach”, aka the Pacific Jewish Center,  in Venice, California.

Practicing on his own, Mr. Rubanowitz expanded his practice area to include serving the public in select wrongful death and Personal Injury litigation, allowing his passion for championing the rights of indivuduals to actualize through helping the injured. On the business law side, Mr. Rubanowitz built his firm from a solo practice serving local regional clients to a national firm with a highly regarded presence in the lender-mortgage banking industry. An active and respected member of trade associations such as the United Trustee’s Association, Mortgage Banking Association and the American Legal and Financial Network, the Law Offices of Shalom Rubanowitz, Inc. has been a proud member of the Legal League 100, a national network of select law firms that serve the mortgage banking industry with the highest levels of knowledge, expertise and efficiency in the mortgage default and foreclosure arena.

Mr. Rubanowitz lives in Los Angeles, and when not at the office or spending time with his children, enjoys sailing, hiking, bicycling, riding his motorcycle and studying Talmud.
